Matching nightstand started

Another patient night for H with her coming into my room and laying down after I woke before 8 and it is -1. The usual start with her breakfast, coffee made and one delivered to sleeping beauty. A bit of marketing then I headed to the garage. Recyclables arranged and areas swept before I hauled out the other nightstand to prep. Vacuumed and hardware removed it was time to deep scrub. While I had the hose out I hosed Sadie and towel dried her.

It was bright and sunny when H and I let the kitties out before 10 but not long after it clouded over and actually got cooler. The nightstand was lightly sanded on top and some scratches filled and left to dry well. Inside I watered plants after getting the new Bruce vacuuming. Shaina popped up for some food and I too made a toasted English muffin. She headed back to her tasks and I to the garage to sand, wipe and paint the nightstand the first coat which is grey.

The winds howled all afternoon. Another paint parcel was delivered according to an email update but not to my door so I drove to gate to find it there. Good thing it is plus 2 out. I gave H a deer bone which kept her busy outside for a couple hours. I also found the bones stored in coolers outside were thawed so scrambled to haul them in and fit in a freezer. After finished this I came in to paint a handled tote. Shaina was up on the couch working on an IG reel and having pizza. I pruned a tall part of her fig tree and will try again to propagate the cutting. Laundry on the go it was not time to make and bottle berry kombucha.

Kaylin text that Lexi's eye is doing so much better at her follow up appointment. The secondary infection is gone and the ulcer has reduced by 50%. She is to stay on the antibiotics and her eye drops to clear up the ulcer entirely and take preventative measures for glaucoma. YAY!!

Shaina cooked the salmon HF meal. While she did so I ran and put the cats away for the night. The salmon was very tasty but it was sure not filling being a calorie conscious meal. Both of us were still hungry. B and Coop arrived as we were finishing up. Shaina washed up the pots and headed to the gym. B and Coop were off just after 7 as I was touch up painting the lifted areas on the tote.

this is why you should scuff sand shiny finishes ;(

Now to catch up the blog while watching McLeod's Daughters on my iPad and a bowl of yogurt and frozen fruit. Shaina was back around 8:30 and loaded up on cereal, oysters, brie and crackers to go with her snojo and off to her room. I finished up on the computer posting the floral cabinet on all the sale sites and headed to bed by 10 to relax and watch. It is plus 1 out
