Bread box underway

It was a lovely Saturday morning with the usual routine of feed Harley, make coffee, let out the cats and check the horses were getting along. With my coffee I did some marketing until Shaina came up for a cup. She filled me in on excersises she learned at her video shoot yesterday then actually performed a muscle release on my back. Harley had to be involved of course LOL. I watered my plants too having forgot my usual plant water/talk Friday :) I then moved onto the projects and Shaina back to her suite.

The highchair hardware was put back on, more paint touch ups in yet a different light then some staging photos taken.

To keep H busy while I worked on projects I gave her a search and find kibble in the grass which Mr Jenkins joined in on.

Before I took the photo below they were nose to nose tying to scrounge the same pieces.

I had woke in the night worrying about the durability of wiping the highchair tray so gave it a couple coats of matte poly to add more durability. Shaina popped up for lunch and cooked up a pizza pocket, thanks! She filled me in on a tragic concert in USA resulting in 8 deaths caused by crowds compressing on each other. 300 had issues with over 20 in ICU, how sad.

Up next was the bread box; I chose the color I painted it to go with this wood pallet rice paper. Again I applied it like the wooden bowl with the matte clear coat.

Once I had it on the door I was in a quandary as to put on the top as well. Britt who arrived and cooked her own pizza pockets for lunch voted yes and Shaina voted no, dam.

B fed the horses then started to trim Roo. I finished smoothing the door paper then went out and joined Britt catching Switch and trimming her while B did Pepper. She was finishing him up while I took the dogs and Stella for a walk. As we got closer to the trees and there was some birds screeching. Everyone was together to the far west paddock as we continued on but as I was crossing into the last paddock I did not see Stella behind us. I called and called to which J came from the house but no her. I went back and forth and could not see her anywhere. As I went back along the trees the screeching increased then a huge owl swooped out and flew low along the trees, the dogs set out after him. Oh my goodness.. I back tracked to the south and was so relieved to see her coming along the trees towards me but she ducked into the trees as I went to get her. She was not keen to come out but tried once then scooted back in. I had to straddle the barbed wire and push thru the caraganas and coerce her out. She was not keen on this but I held fast till the nearest paddock but when I let her down be damned if Harley did not chase her up the wind break!! I picked her up again but she was even more nervous and the darn dogs wrestled around my legs as I walked to which she emitted low growls. Again I put her in a football carry to which she struggle and scratched but I did not release her till we were near the house fence to which she hustled under the horse trailer. B met me there with J and I called both to the barn for soft food and to be put away for the day.

B and Coop headed home as now after 4:30 and I came in to catch up the blog with a cold drink. Shaina was prepping to head to the gym and the city leaving before 5:30. I ate some leftover shrimp chow mien before making and prepping kombucha while the news was on. Today was pomegranate pineapple ginger; sounds yummy right? Then with 100 Humans by my side I wrote todays blog eventually moving to bed to finish the season.
