Equine dental day

The day started -2!! with Mom and I having a relaxed coffee when B text letting us know Dr Jordan was going to be early for her 9 am appointment. From then on it was a hustling busy day. As Jordan and her tech Will set up Mom and I went to catch horses but of course ours who were just in were now in the far pasture. Mom went and caught Jessie and I caught Bird who when I dropped her lead to close the gate took off thru the yard and down the lane way to the other horses. I jumped on the quad, went and caught her and had her trot alongside the quad back to the barn where Mom had now caught Slim and was taking him in. I then walked out to the far pasture to catch Pepper with the rest following me back.

Jessie was up first for assessment and teeth. I hauled a bale down and tossed for the horses out back to keep them busy. Pepper was up next for dental, his extraction site looks great.

Eye flushing was next, with a couple X-rays  then he just chilled in the middle of the barn till sedation wore off. (to flush the eye you go thru the nose)

Next up Bird who had the full meal deal; she had chiro

dental,

 her eyes flushed as well as some X-rays.

then stood with her acupuncture needles in 

while KD's dental was done.

KD was naughty for her treatment in typical KD attitude.

Then Slim had his dental appointment as the last patient. Everything was cleaned up and all back in their pens. We the unloaded 2 dressers Mom brought from Oyen from a customer wanting them custom painted before 1.

Amanda and the kids arrived as we were eating a bowl of soup. The kids played as we visited and got some online help for Mom ordering clothes and benefits trouble shooting.

They headed home before 4, Mom and I ate the last of the shrimp divolo then she and I caught her horses after finding a lost halter and loaded them up. Tim was loaded last and she was off by 4:30. Harley and I took the quad to the winter pasture gate to open and close the yard gate and turn on the charger. I looped the yard for poop before coming in to start vacuuming. Harley got her supper and a find a fish and I soaked horse feed. I gave Dad a call to let him know about todays horse events and check in. While ordering clothes earlier Mom found out the cottage and all of Good Sams is in lock down again which totally changed Moms plan to drive down and get Dad and take to Asher’s hockey game n Brooks tomorrow and may affect our plans to visit next weekend. It is so sad how COVID is affecting the double vaccinated folks negatively. Of course I did not tell Dad any of this. Fingers crossed we can get him out of “jail” next weekend.

I was housecleaning when B and Cooper arrived at 7 to feed just as the sun was setting. I gave the kitties offal and we caught up on the days horse vet visit while they ate. They were then off for home before 8. I finished up photo editing and uploading for the river walk birthday celebration day and have it ready to be live tomorrow. In bed I watched my ipad then drifted off to sleep. I woke just before midnight and saw that a good customer was interested in the headboard I posted tonight!! yeah At 1:30 my black roomie sounded the alarm; it was Shaina returning home from the city and a Thanksgiving celebration ;)
