Happy Fathers Day and first day of summer

Happy Fathers Day to my Da, Papa Carl and the father of my children!! Hope you all have an amazing day as you all deserve it. I had another repeat morning, feed, let out cats, make a cap and do marketing. It started out sunny but again a blustery wind. Time to get busy in the garage. The coffee table base was painted a warm white.

Next I got to work on the dining table I just picked up. I had grand hopes to do it for our house so got busy seeing how I can make it pretty. The top was scrubbed on all sides after the shellac drips were scraped off all the edges. The leaf was next to be scrapped and scrubbed then all wiped well and left to dry.

Britt and Cooper were out at noon. She made food then was off to pick a tub of poop from the barn paddock, what a good girl. Kaylin chose the square antique table I got awhile back to use in her new house so I took off the moved leg to see how to repair and got it out to scrub.

The edges have such pretty carved details and those chubby legs! There is also a glass to fit it that they said coast almost $400 which I now believe after my $$ little mirror. It is the polished edges.

She has today off so I suggested she come load the gym equipment she was going to use of Shaina's and could look at all the tables as well. They arrived after 1and we did the furniture tour. They chose the padded chairs from the mez and stuck with the square table. I wiped the chairs off we had carried to the garage while they took the jeep to load the gym stuff down from the mez. Now to put it in the storage trailer however the drop down door was not at a good distance to open so planned to move with Devon's jeep but his ball was too high and the jeep could not lower with the tail gate open so all gym stuff had to be taken out, jeep lowered and the trailer hooked up. We pulled it ahead to a better spot.

Amanda and Aislyn arrived as were were doing all this and got to work in their trailer. There was now 5 dogs running around but wait where was Lexi? Everyone started a search for her most of us looking in the same places multiple times. B hiked the west paddocks while Kaylin jumped on the quad, Amanda, Devon and I searched the yard. B even jumped on Pepper and searched the east pasture fence line meeting Kaylin who was looping around. I then mentioned to Devon the recent coyote and fox sightings and suggested he go look along the highway. He jumped in b's car and was heading to the gate. I was in the back yard when I turned and saw the little rascal dawdling her way toward the house in no particular hurry. I scooped her up and Amanda scrunched up her face in an affectionate way and found poop on her hands so it seems the little miss was off around the shop/barn area (which was searched by 4 of us multiple times) enjoying some horse poop. WHEW!!

We tucked her in the house and got back to work moving furniture in and out of the trailer. Kaylin got stuff from her room too, they get possession of their new place this week and we will haul the trailer in next Sunday. I will also be taking the super heavy table and meet the owners at her place then too. I had Devon hold the table top after I scrubbed it well to rinse and move to the drain. Once all was loaded they packed up the dogs and headed back to the city before 3:30.

the dog whisperer hard at work.. and she had 5 to choose from but H is always happy to lay and be pet

B had fed the skinny pen hay and was in for a short visit as I had a kombucha. It seems I have only had a cappuccino and iced coffee so far with all the activity. Shaina was home not long after passing K on way here. She had plants and a few boxes to unload. B set off for home to make her supper. I stopped out to check on the trailer girls progress as they were finishing up and heading home at 4:30.

Shaina made some guacamole to hold me over then she headed to the gym before 5:30 while I put on burger to make chili after feeding H. I had the chili all ready to go when she returned just before 7:30. We ate then took H and Stella for a walk. Shaina hit the deck to read a text book in the sun while I tossed a flake for each "fat" horse then got busy hand watering the garden, flower pots and front bed as well as fertilizing them all. Next up I chopped most of the south tall rose bush down hoping it will come back from the base. The north one had more pruning but it looks lots better.

The night was so gorgeous now as the wind faded and the golden sun was warm. It is the first day of summer hallelujah. I had the soaker hose going on back bed then put on forest before I came in. A quick stint on the computer to catch up blog then to bed to watch my iPad. It is summer solstice with there still light tonight after 11 pm, crazy that it is all downhill from here til Christmas now LOL
