Sun is back

UNBELIEVABLE 5:30 the darn robin was back crashing into my windows. The fog was socked in and it was -1 but he was on a mission to rid the area of infiltrators. I tried putting my ear plugs in and a pillow over my head after jumping up a couple times to scare him away from the window and eventually I fell asleep till the usual 7:30. Harley had her breakfast after 8 then out in the semi fog. It seems to be rolling out and sunny now. We let the kitties out for their first outdoor adventure since their surgery. It was brisk in the barn having had a slight freeze overnight.

Inside I made a couple caps and got started on Monday marketing and loading all the videos for yesterdays blog post. Things were organized for a town run and loaded in the truck as I will take Harley along to town. I went and planted 2 potatoes Amanda gave me that I cut in half so 4 ;) as well as some spinach and Kale seeds at noon. I scarfed down some salad while fine tuning my errand list.

Harley was excited to go so I took the truck and she lept in no ramp needed. I left a parcel of the little containers and Styrofoam trays at the gate for the same teacher and picked up my paint package that was delivered. Next stop was the bottle depot where I scored empty Kombucha bottles for deposit price and a couple bonuses.

A loop thru Tims to pick Mom up a chai tea, grab a new cold brew (i prefer iced coffee after trying it) and a timbit for Harley before dropping the Etsy parcel at the post office and signing a no junk mail form. I was then off on a journey north to meet Dad, Mom and Travis at a farm where they are picking up a new to them swather.  I visited with Mom and Dad while TJ got the swather mover unloaded with the help of the farmers.

I left moms mothers day gift and jars with her and headed back to town at 2:30 to meet a guy for the box of hardware. On route to the Walmart meetup I grabbed Cooper. The swap was fast then I zoomed in to get cat food and milk then back to the ranch by 3:30. The dogs were off while I unloaded stuff, took of Bird's rain sheet and put a clear coat over the transfer on the toy box. Now to open my paint parcel.

but it seems only half of my parcel arrived the other box was delivered to town

I put a few bottles in water to soak and see about disinfecting. I decided to eat early as lunch was only a salad so chili at 4:30. The toybox is spoken for sight unseen other then the top ;) I put a second coat of clear over the transfer. Before feeding Harley I did the milk kefir swap giving her the remnants with her second chicken meal of the day. So far no itching so maybe it was the kibble she was allergic too. Then sent her back out to play with Coper. The day has turned so lovely now with full sun and no wind.

Finally I bottled some grapefruit water kefir and made a new batch to ferment. Britt arrived just after 6 with some frozen beef organs she picked up from a friend for the dogs. She took out the food I had soaked and fed the horses and groomed them. I did a reverse west walk with the dogs to pick up the recyclables at the gate the gal was not able to pick up. It is just so lovely out hitting 14 but feeling like 24. B then worked Roo in the round pen. I watched for a bit then rounded up the kittens and J and put them away. We trimmed Roo's front feet before she let her back out. I pulled weeds and scooped poop as it was too nice to go in. B and Coop headed home to finally eat supper before 8.

I jumped in the shower and remembered I did not share the scientific robin research info so here it is.

I finished up computer tasks then crawled into bed to watch some videos. Sheldon awoke Harley sleeping in the garage around 10:30 when he got home. He was in the shower when she was barking again to alert me to another intruder; this time it was Shaina. She unloaded and was off to her room, he watched the crazy bird videos and fell asleep soon after.
