Gorgeous day

Good sleep with H not wanting out till just before 7. I rested for about half hour after putting her in the garage and then got up and fed her. While she ate I lightly sanded the ironing board top and reapplied a coat of clear.

I looked out when I was coming with my cappuccino to the desk to see Pepper ambling around the yard. he was testing the fence the other day but it seems he now knows it is not turned on. I went and put him in the paddock, let the cats out and turned the hot wire ON.

Amanda, the kids and Clover were out after 10, we did a big loop hike then back to the yard to enjoy the 14 sunshine and NO WIND. Some played soccer, some pretended to drive the ranger, some listened to music in the car and some wrangled Mr Jenkins. They loaded up and headed to town just after 12.

I started on the dining set but found all the back wobbly so touched base with the customer to say I cannot fix that. They were ok with that so the top was rolled out to sand later. I took the ironing board out and sanded the milk paint before stopping for lunch break with Shaina after 1. She barbequed chicken skewers to go with left over rice. A Hello Fresh box was delivered, looks like we will be eating this week. I was then headed back out to clear and dark wax the ironing board. It is almost done!

Now to start the dining set. I began with sanding the table top getting it almost to bare wood moving on to the chairs. They were sanded in areas with chippy finish, some wood filler in areas and a missing wood button replaced. Then it was back to the table top and legs. I finished up my sanding hours starting on the dresser top but only got half done before I pulled everything back in and inside for a refreshment before 5.

A bit of marketing was needed before starting supper. Shaina assisted in prepping the pork with kale brussel sprout salad. I really liked this salad! She was then off to the gym for the last time, news confirmed gyms close in Alberta again at midnight ;(

Britt was out later then usual around 7:30 feeding the 2 horses I soaked feed for. She also kindly put the cats away. My lower back and trap was aching from the hours sanding so I soaked in a hot tub watching an Away episode. They headed home an hour later. I brought H in and crawled into bed with another episode. Shaina was back around 10 making a yummy smoothie and giving me a wee cup full, thanks. She was then off to soak in the tub.
