Vases galore

H was not wanting out till 6:45, I think I only woke to check the time at 2, 4 and 6 so it was a good sleep. When I let her out I found J meowing.. WTH?? I looked to check the horse door and it was closed, he must have snuck out last night but we were sure they were in. I looked again before 8 and saw the man/horse door wide open. Dang that door.

I bundled up and went to secure it and be sure the little kitties were there. Sure enough they were smart enough to stay inside. The snow was starting to fall again. After feeding H early again I made my cap and got to work on the computer.

Time to get to the garage and get some projects done. I painted the smaller chalkboard frame green and the larger blue. While they dried I mixed up some new texture powder in paint and started some vases. 3 turned into 6 and I still have lots left, jars and mix :)

This previously painted one had gotten scratched up from being stored and hauled to markets, time for a makeover.

The snow let up after 11 and by noon the sun was out and the temperature was rising melting everything. Just before 2 the mom of the gal who sent her little table to be painted arrived to pick it up and take to her daughter. Then I was back to my tasks. The vases all had 2 coats. The small frame 2 coats, wet distressed and waxed.

One of the vases was dark waxed and bronze gilding wax added then white wax.. not sure I am loving it. Taking a break from painting and napping for H we headed out into the +5 sunshine for a walk. The cats joined of course. Back at the house I started to trim trees and scoop poop. I gave H a bone to keep her busy and soaked beet pulp before I went inside to make hamburger soup at 4.

see almost all the snow is gone yet again

Once the soup was simmering I put the frame and chalkboard glass together and staged a few pics.

I rounded up the bones to put in fridge for tomorrow then gave her supper at 5:30. B and C arrived at 6 to join me for soup. She fed Bird then was headed home. I was working on computer work when K called that Lexi's eye was worse. I called a vet while she was on hold and tried to help get a plan set. Her poor eye is bad. After all the calls it turns out the vet says to keep her on pain killer metacam till her surgery Monday. :(

Did you know dogs benefit from seeds and nuts but they must be fermented and ground in order to digest properly? I made a batch of pumpkin and sunflower up for ferment overnight for H. I worked on my painting spreadsheet. The wind picked up and snow started again after 9, brrr. It isn't really cold at -4 but the wind makes it yucky. The ground was covered when Shaina arrived home at 11:45 as I was shutting off my ipad.
