We say goodbye to Bandit :(

I was up at 8 followed soon by S who put coffee on early. We enjoyed a relaxing coffee before the 9 am med and walk. He put her on the shady side and had a coffee with her. I mixed up some pizza dough to rise and added to the starter before I cleaned out the horse trailer front and back washing the floor rugs and putting things away. It seems there may be another roof leak so need to repair it before the rain forecast this w/e. S unhooked it and hooked to the fuel trailer then gathered the trash and recyclables. I had a Rust oleum deliver in a big hwy 9 truck and trailer.

mother load of products

S was off to town as I moved on to watering my garden. I took meds and a snack out to Bandit and Bird at noon then got busy putting a coat of hemp oil on the desk.

hardware was sprayed gold

Usual Friday chores like plant watering, laundry and cleaning were underway. I was pulling a few weeds when S returned home at 2 after all his errands. He unloaded including bringing me anniversary flowers :) XOXO

Bird spending time in the sun with Bandit XOXO

He was off to attach his new tractor part while I walked Lola. The clouds had blown in after lunch making the day gloomy but hot at 28. I hauled a bucket of cool water out to Bandit as he was standing quietly along the fence line. He sucked it all up .

The horse trailer roof seems to be leaking as per B so I gathered caulk and S ran a new bead around the edges.

Dr Jordan arrived as he was doing so just before 5. B arrived soon after. She brushed Bandit up and along with Bird we walked him to his final resting place. He walked straight as an arrow right alongside Britt. Such a kind hearted brave soul this stoic gallant gentleman is. His infectious charismatic personality charmed all who met him. He will be very much missed.

Right after he passed there was an Etsy chime on my phone, B said Bandit got you a sale. Thanks buddy!!

Back at the house we gave Mr J a look over in regards to his hairless ears then Dr Jordan was on her way. We added Switch and Daisy in with Bird to keep her company. Inside I made up the pizza and popped it in the oven. Britt decided to stay for supper with us and have a beverage to cheers Bandit being part of our lives. Before heading home B moved Daisy into the ginger pen seeing it is going to rain. After a sunny then overcast, then sunny day it did indeed rain. Not much but every drop helps.

and a beautiful rainbow, and a sign I think

The storm had Lola in a panic so we go her in the back entry and started the A/C to drown the thunder and cool off the floor.

I boxed up the Etsy sale: candlesticks, then did some computer work before crawling into bed to finish season 5 of Queer Eye. S spent the evening on his laptop finishing up with Scrabble. Pretty somber night.
