Party prep and seeding

It was back to coffee in bed but only 1 cup then up and at it. Lola was excited to see Sheldon which was great for giving her pills and going for a quick bathroom break. She hustled back to get scratched while he enjoyed a coffee out front. I cooked up some sourdough starter chive pancakes for the prince then he was off to pick up the seeder for todays big seeding day.

#blackouttuesday

He was back in short order and we set off for town after 11 with some errands in mind, The first 45 minutes were a search for alfalfa seed at Matt's and UFA with no luck. Next was a quick liquor store pickup then a free desk pickup before stopping at Britt's. She requested help with placing and planting her new perennial purchases. She has decided to seed her grass not sod and was working on leveling when we got there. I helped raise the border, place and plant the first few then left her to finish. S had found alfalfa seed at Peavy and ran to grab it while we did this.

When he got back our ladder, dolly and garden tools were loaded and we headed off. Next stop groceries at Walmart for tomorrows birthday party however they did not have it all so S dropped me at No Frills. Sure enough they had it but also had a line of 20 people deep that was not moving with only a couple tellers. S ordered Vietnamese but popped back to pick me up and try Coop, nope not there but I did find it at Sobeys. We grabbed the food and headed home. Unloading and eating then S was off to fill the seeder hook up and get seeding by 2:30.

Britt and Cooper were out soon after. She rode and fed then sorted tack. I hand watered my garden, transplanted flowers into the holes where the dead perennials were removed and they were all watered. I had brought Lola out to get fresh air and got for a walk with Cooper then put her back to rest while I moved on to gathering gifts and cleaning bathrooms. B&C headed home around 6:30.

desk I picked up, it needs legs

I made up a macaroni salad for tomorrow, then the birthday cake. S stopped at 7 needing another bag of alfalfa when I suggested he call to see it open. Sure enough they were so he ran to town go some was back and seeding before 8. I took Lola out for her even walk but again the mosquitoes were terrible. I would hate to have bites and a cone on so it was short lived. Medication time and then settle down for the night. S wrapped it up before 10 as I was catching up the blog.
