Vacation planning time

Last night it was -19 when we went to sleep and -22 in the night when I looked and -21 when coffee was served.

I worked on the coffee table putting another coat of milk paint on but still to thin so once dry I added 2 more layers of white. It was sanded and distressed when all dry and left overnight.

I bundled up and went out to give the horses pills, straighten and tighten Daisy's get up and it was -16 but as the day went on it got warmer. -12 at supper and -10 by evening, there is a chinook apparently that is keeping it warmer before the cold snap.

S worked on the gate that the battery died last night. He pulled it and put on a charger for 24 hours. A trip to town was in order for some parts and beer as well. He worked on Matt's motor which he ended up getting it going by days end. And he installed a dimmer on the dining light that has bothered him every time we play games there.

S rolled the partial bale and while going to fetch a full one I noticed Bandit panicking, sure enough the horses escaped the gate and the main gate is wide open with S working on the battery issue. He jumped in car and raced for the gate while I jumped into my covies. Lola and I had the horses back in the paddock in short order.

I spent hours working on our winter vacation as well as with Sharon and eventually we picked Maui due to the direct flights both ways. Seeing the guys are on opposite shifts it makes it tight to get time off together but we found 10 days :) Now to find a place!
