Seeing today was not snowing or windy I hauled the frame outside and power sanded all sides. It then had while milk paint dry brushed on then more navy. Once dry it was clear coated on the back side and when dry flipped and the front sealed.
The growth ruler was sanded lightly, numbers stenciled in white and clear coated when dry. In between all these steps I finished the last of the steak strips for lunch; )
I new set of salt and peppers were sanded, scrubbed and painted a coat of azure. I cleaned the brush off on the edges of the jewelry box then used the teal brush to do a wash on the set. Not sure if I am digging it but as it dried I liked it a bit more.
The square end table was clear and dark waxed and is once again done ready to sell.
this view NEVER gets old
Shaina is staying tonight so I cooked up spaghetti and meat sauce for her to eat later and me at 7. I wrote a blog post for the ornate jewelry box then went out to work on projects. The nightstand was sanded and a 3rd coat applied. The drawers have the lines turning yellow so I hand painted one white and it still turned so on the other I added clear coat to see if it will seal. I then cute drawer liners for the drawers as both have some marks in them even after scrubbing and sanding and scrubbing. I was finishing up when Shaina arrived before 9:30. She ate while I cut some of the flowers out for decoupage and repainted the salt top.
When I headed to bed and researched the decoupage I found that napkins over dark colors don't usually turn out well especially is the napkin background is white, looks like there will be a change of plans on that jewelry box ;).
