1 day of polox

It seems when Cooper has sleepovers Lola is on patrol more often, this am at 2 she was busy patrolling then Cooper wanted to go out. B took him on a leash to pee and back to bed but I laid awake till after 3:30. Then the alarm went off at 6:30. Time to get up and get moving for the big polox day. I made coffee and threw drinks in a cooler while B got ready and prepped a piece of toast for the drive. We caught the brumbies, put on Bird's travel attire, loaded them up and were on our way before 7:30 (just 15 min past our planned departure due to us both hitting snooze once). B took her car too so we could leave the truck and trailer with the horses who I had arranged to have stay the night at nearby Jacquie's place.

 We arrived at the field just after 8 and were soon underway prepping the girls for play. Shelby met us there to ready Switch and took her to ump Britt's first game at 9 to get her used to it. She only did 1/2 then I brought her back to the trailer to wait till her game next. She did well for not having played the game in two years and only at C level with me. This is A grade.

B played at 9 (losing), 11:30 and 4 winning both. Shaina and Jacob came to watch both last games. Switch and Shelby played 9:45, 11:30 and 4 as well and with each game she caught on even more.

In between the last two games, Britt, Shelby and I went to see Jinx's eye (B treated it) then get food and drinks seeing she had the VW. Shaina and Jacob went into Okotoks to watch friends play baseball then were back for the last game of the day.

After the last games Shaina and Jacob were off, the girls got the horses hosed and we loaded them up hauling them back the 5 minutes to Jac's, let them in their paddock, B treated Jinx's eye again and we stopped to see her 2 fillies before heading back so B could get her taco supper that was included.

We stopped back to fill the girls water and toss more may before jetting home by 7:30. Sore B had a quick shower and spent the evening relaxing with Netflix (she did run Pepper his pill and checked the horses). I cooked some zucchini for my supper, picked 4 fresh ones, caught up on some quick marketing, downloaded my photos, made a smoothie and watched some Netflix myself.
