Off to IKEA

September 2 already, what!! Another lovely 21 day with no wind, fabulous. I worked on more blog posts with my coffee then put a clear coat on the blue end table once distressed. When B got up she made cappuccinos and got her list ready.

We headed to the city after 12 stopping in Langdon to grab an iced coffee. Our first stop in the city was Value Village where she found more treasures including a sun hat and Aritzia top while I scored 3 jewelry boxes, a pepper grinder and 4 cappuccino cups.

We tried my 2 other fav thrift stores but they were closed today :( so it was on to Ikea. I think half the city was in there on this long w/e Sunday! B loaded her cart with shelving units, rolling racks and household goodies. Having yet to eat I bought us lunch at Chopped leaf. The salad was great but I was shocked at the price of the charcoal lemonade $6 each, heck I could buy a beer for less ;)

On our way home at 4 we stopped at what looked like a thrift store in Langdon but it turned out to be a very over priced junk hole. Once back home and unloaded B was off to her room. She did do some laundry and packed up some more of her room while watching Netflix. I put another coat of clear on the blue table.

Time to start the chocolate wash on the grey table, I procrastinate because it is so touchy and dries so quick but I got it done.

In between laundry loads I also started black waxing the blue table. I did have a lady from Edmonton email yesterday wanting to come see the gate leg table tomorrow but my customer with the recent hutch wanted first dibs, when I messaged her she says I will take it so it is sold! The lady from E says she will take the recent one S picked up for me unpainted, another score!
