Smoke as thick as fog

The BC forest fires had the smoke  socked in for the entire day. The workers were off to work before 7 with me letting the dogs out right after. I watch a Netflix video and fall back asleep for an hour. Feeling sorry for the horses I went and tossed hay to all, gave Hawk his meds and removed some nails exposed on the shop door ramp :/

Today’s projects were to put a clear coat on the purple nightstand. I am not really a fan of it so far as it is really streaky and gummy.

Next the hutch and buffet were painted the first coat of warm white milk paint. This process took 2 hours.

Back to the nightstand I painted on a antiquing glaze and left to dry. It was supposed to get to 29 but the smoke only let it get to 24 which was nice but things are still getting so dry.

B had me heat up her cappuccino machine as she neared home and made us both one once she arrived.

I got tacos and roasted beets ready for supper as per Shaina's request. She arrived soon after B just in time for a cappuccino for her too. Supper and a visit and she was off taking the purple ruler with her, thanks Dude.

After supper B and I went out, I trimmed Hawk while she roached Bird's mane then we both did Bird's feet. She finished up putting horses away while I went and put another coat of stain on the buffet top before hitting the shower and writing the purple ruler blog post up.

Happy birthday brother Dale! XOXO
