sidewalk finishing work

B was off to work at 8 again as the smoke detector chirped. It eventually was annoying enough that Sheldon was rousted before 9 it take it down. The weather was similar to yesterday but even cooler. At 16 I suggested we head out and do chores before it heated up. We got busy on the sidewalk garage area finishing digging out, adding top soil to the grass side then laying landscape fabric and some gravel.

In between  I watered and weeded while S got dirt and gravel. It was sure easier to work even when it got up to 22. The wind came up and down and the sun out and all over the map even 10 drops of rain but was good working weather.

Cooper thought it was great fun to haul around and play with the empty weed spray jug (yes I took it away right after my quick pic B)

For supper I prepped fresh garden veggies, potatoes from mine and beets from Huts (thanks Mom) and had ribs simmering for the afternoon. Both city girls work tonight so could not join us but B would be home after 6 and Dave was able to join us.
