Next it was on to cleaning the stools and getting the first coat on them. I was just finishing around 12:30 when the lady finally came to pick up her quilt rack. She had loads of paint questions and wanted to see the rustic dresser in hopes of duplicating the look. S was back bringing lunch as she headed off .
Of course the big comfy brown chair called him for a nap after eating and before he could install the disposal (5 min max job which I came in to help for) and I was back out black waxing the hutch.
He did head out in the glorious sunshine (looks much warmer then +1) to look around then sat on the deck with his phone. Looking up he saw the Xmas lights still on that side so did take them down. The long line on the fence rails are surrounded by too much snow he says.
I also finished the desk adding 2 coats of poly. Prince cooked a steak supper, thanks so much! I came in, ate and headed back out to put poly on a few desk touch ups and added an entire coat all over. He was off to watch hockey. Next I put chicken wire in the hutch doors and a coat of black on the base top, much better. I wiped up the backing and tomorrow will paint it black too. Going with a very simple color scheme for this hutch. I added new hardware to hutch part too.
