Her world was about to change when Britt got a call the puppy she was interested in was here after his (and 25+ other dogs) long journey from Arizona. She was beside herself and got busy organizing a trip over to Airdrie to meet him. She of course wanted us to go along so after lunch we loaded up, Lexi included and were off.
B drove the boat (dog car) and bribed us with Tim's, thanks B and even had to borrow S sunglasses due to the bright sun out.
snuggler
Of course I knew this was pretty much 100% going to be an adoption and as soon as she met him it was confirmed. Soda Pop is his rescue name but she is deciding if it will stick. Bodie, Hank, Winston, Cooper & Snoop were a few top contenders with a plethora of others. Lexi was not sure she was thrilled to meet him but tolerated it. We spent an hour there (Sheldon mostly in the car) letting him adjust to us then she signed the papers, paid the $$ and we were off.
A stop at the Pet Value to get his free bag of food (they partner with the rescue, he also gets a free ID tag and discounts) and some treats then home to meet Lola and chill. It was 4:30 now and with a rodeo meeting at 6 it was time to get supper going. Barbecued chicken souvlaki was in order seeing it was another nice balmy day in January. S was off to his meeting.
his favorite place in the house
Britt loaded the boat up again with her doggy duo, toys, treats and blankets and was off to the city around 6:30 leaving me to update the blog. As well as scour kijiji for a dog kennel and puppy classes for her seeing I am such a researcher :) Below are him settling in to be a city dog, seems like Lexi is still non to impressed he followed her home. LOL
