painting and presents

Prince had a sleep in till 11:30, I was up earlier and worked on marketing with some coffee. Kevin and his wife Nadine were to stop out after lunch so we quickly did a tidy before they arrived after 12. Two hours flew by as we visited and they got to see the bison hide and bottle tree. They were off after 2.

Sheldon hit the TV room for football Sunday while I went out and got to work painting the table. I mixed greys to get the base color using up little bits left then milk painted the top in some grey and raw silk. I also gave the ebony boards another coat of stain before coming in at 5 to get some supper going.

Tacos were the evenings fare with homemade guacamole and the usual options. We headed into the Paetz house after supper to give the kids their gifts early. A fun visit as always was had.

We headed home just after 9 and got to work putting the table together. I touched up the base paint and table edges then had S help me flip it and add another coat of milk paint to the top. I hauled out one of our counter chairs to show the counter height for the potential buyer.

Amanda had picked up a new book I ordered from the library so started it, The Alice Network.
