lucky day

Wow that was quite the storm last night, it finally let up about 12:30 but there was a whole lots of light up the night skies with super close booms. It was raining early this am to a bit. When I checked this am we had just over 8/10ths of rain, thank you Lord.

The morning was spent with boring daily drudgery of laundry and cleaning including the garage work areas. There was more interest in the long MCM dresser I posted yesterday but all want as is.. hmmm. I did see a sweet cedar chest pop up for sale and inquired. It is in Chestemere and I could run to Costco for plants that I have been putting off. After much debate and the dark clouds rolling in I decided to make the trip. This week has been crazy driving somewhere every day and twice on two of the days!

The cedar chest was smaller then the photo looked and indeed veneer not solid wood and it tougher shape but it is a nice size so I loaded it up and headed to Costco. I did have a delay after being hailed over by a peace officer. Seems I was doing 51 in a 30 playground. Really there is a playground on the side of hiway #1? He agreed it was an odd place and most streets are 40 but after taking all my cards he returned to tell me seeing I had not had a ticket in a decade he would not ruin my streak but slow down. He then gave me the speed limits getting from there to Costco just to be helpful. Well Thank You Lord one more time today.

My trip thru costco was harried looking through the garden section trying to access what and where I needed plants. I also had a long chat with a computer guy but was on a time schedule to meet the cabinet buyer back home by 5.  I loaded up and was home by quarter to 5.  The rain on the way home stopped just before our gate but no long after it sprinkled down but only for a brief time. Well be darned if the gal did not arrived till closer to 6. I so find the waiting on people part one of the hardest things about sales. It did give me time to unload plants and groceries and start folding laundry ;)

Once we had her loaded up and off I continued the housework including making a hot supper for Britt and I who was home before 7. She was then off to her room to relax after her long day while I worked on the sale of the MCM dresser I had posted. 2 ladies both want it as is but of course the pick up is again the hold up. I decided to head out and start planting my pots in case more rain arrived then soak in a tub with a super yummy bath bomb Kaylin gave me for mother's day. Thank you!
