And they are off

WINDY.... brrr. A quick coffee before Sheldon was off to town to a dr appt. First order of biz for me was to chop up veggies for my bacon corn chowder soup recipe and get it in the slow cooker. A gal messaged me out of the blue she had a roll top desk she wondered if I wanted.. for free and would drop at the antique mall.. yes please!! and Thank you! I took a few pictures of the jewel box and posted the shelf from yesterday for sale.

Then it was time to plan more of my birthday trip. I booked flights yesterday to Victoria and today was hotel and activities. So exciting. We will be staying at the fancy Fairmont Empress. I found some fun things to do too like this Burlesque show and this mystery spirit supper. Of course Butchart Gardens is on the list too and this may have to be tried too.

Shaina and Brad are off today for Columbia, so exciting! Backpacking in the rain forest for a couple weeks adventure.

Late afternoon after his nap, Sheldon submitted the girls taxes online then hung the outside light fixture after the new parts arrived in last nights mail from China (and they work!). I also convinced him to unplug the Christmas lights ;) It was +4 out but the wind and no sun made it feel like -4, hence the extreme head wear ;)

The soup was really yummy and easy, recommend it. Sheldon was off to watch the Flames lose while I did my computer research and sorting. He was sleeping by 8:30 so I caught a few more Switched at Birth episodes too.
