roughnecks night

The wind rolled in last night and continued today. Britt got home at 1:30 am from seeing the movie Split as part of her night with Amber. Sheldon finished up just after 9 last night, here is the hide all finished and salted

I spent the morning finishing organizing the garage, having Sheldon help me rearrange a few heavier pieces and it looks great. The sweeping is never ending with Lola's spring blow out but is easier now that we took down big D's perimeter fence. The only dog 175 pounds that was easily contained with a foot high fence ;)

Sheldon ran to town after lunch. I was scrubbing up new paint projects and doing glue repairs as per usual.

Britt went and caught Daisy and Bird. She rode while I trimmed Daisy and we were done in half an hour. Fast when you have help and a good ole well behaved horse to trim. Shower time as we are heading to the city to see the roughnecks. Been a very long time since we went so will be fun.

As you can see the day was overcast with  the warm plus 6 wind

Sheldon was back before 4 with teas and coffee, we ate a quick pizza and were all ready to head to the game just after 5. We picked up Shaina at chinook parking lot and found our parking and hiked it to the dome. It was even warmer in the city. We scored our seats and had a great time watching lacrosse. It has been awhile for us all. Popcorn, ice cream, peanuts and a couple beers/ceasars/mikes rounded out the experience.

it was Star Wars night so even the drill crew performed in costume ;)

Before dropping Shaina at her jeep, we stopped at Joey's for snacks and a night cap which was of course yummy. A fav restaraunt of mine for sure. By 11. Shaina went west and us east calling it a successful night out. A treat for the girls for pet sitting while we are gone.
