My rest of morning was spent working on this little orphan dresser. I LOVE taking things headed for hte dump that have great bones and look to be well made. This little guy did not disappoint, solid hardwood build but an entire morning of sanding and scraping. It seems it has had a few paint jobs.. cream, peach, melamine orange, blue and maybe more but it continues to want to be reloved.
one drawer done one not
3 drawers done and wanted to snap a better before of the body
that orange just jumps out at you!
Lola did alert me to infiltrators and I found the bale guy loading 10 more bales, thanks Lola! And D as he did chime in from his pillow in the garage ;) they showed up for 2 more loads after this too
great view of the mountains today
My afternoon was spent on the dresser too doing repairs then giving it a deep cleaning!
I found the keyholes popped right out while trying to get all paint out of them so easy to resand that area smooth now
Another load of bales was being picked when Sheldon arrived home. He kindly picked up my paint parcel in town on his way, thanks. the bale picker fetched up 2 more loads before Sheldon headed out to swath the test strip area.
Not long and he was back and as we ate a late supper another load was picked up, the field is looking clearer but still many loads to go. Sheldon was heading to shut the gate when he saw the picker back yet again. We started a new series tonight, Narcos.
That's the way the lock is on the piano. Have to watch that little fingers don't pull it out and it would get lost
