Up at the crack of dawn.. Or at least close to, we got things loaded in the truck and trailer, caught the horses (bit of a delay due to my kindness to eat vs tie to stand slowed us up) loaded them and headed out the new gate about 1/2 hour behind planned departure at 8 am. Once there it was a quick tack up for me as slated to play at 9 and Britt/Pepper who reffed our game but in the end the other team was late so the rush was for not! But better then being the one we all waited for.
We won that game 8-1, yay. Then Britt played right after, thanks to Renee and Shelby for tacking Bird up for her while she reffed. The A team played like demons and won as well. They also won their 2nd game after lunch (which was a fun club pot luck) then we won our 2nd game 5-1 too.
The evening was rounded out with a yummy tournament supper and campfire after the horses were all tucked in and fed by Britt and I. We all did not stay out late as rain was forecast. Britt was off to her truck tent around 9:30 and we followed soon around 10:30. Good thing I had cleaned up everything outside as the rain finally arrived around 11 and was off and on thru the night. It was sure not as much as it sounded under the aluminum roof just a short distance above us. ;)
