break in the cold

Well now, -7 upon waking! that is better. Motivated with coffee I started work on the tables. The plan to stain over the white was started on the coffee table. Glad I did it as I am not really keen on it so may change dining table plan. After the added dry brushed white and some more distressing I dont mind it again, guess there is always an ugly stage.

The dining table did get 2 coats of paint on the top after sealing and distressing in between and after. the base another coat and all the distressing too followed by a coat of poly.
By noon today it was -2! B was a slug again but did go fill minerals/salt tub and say hi to the horses as well as fed Julio once the rest wander back to the bale. She had to snuggle with D and play with Lola and of course give Coco endless amounts of love. All are glad when B comes home.

The poor husband sent to pickup the kids table and chairs and spice rack ended up lost after mis directions from his wife but eventually found me. He was most pleased with the stuff and loved our place. Good thing as she said he was a bit miffed on the 2 hour tour to get here.
Shaina and Brad stopped on way back to the city, chowed down a bowl of soup and had a visit. Grady stopped soon after to join in on a bowl of soup and quick visit before he and Britt were off to Olds. Shaina went out to say her good byes to Julio, he is not faring well this winter and we all agree it is quality of life not quantity even though he has had almost 35 years. This week we plan to say good bye. After a nice visit, they headed to Strathmore to check out a smart car Brad had been eyeing up and ended up buying. Here is to 700+ km on $16!

After all were gone I headed back to the garage to finish painting the dining table top its 2nd coat.
The right end has 2 coats, big diff heh? Time for a hot bath and some Netflix my friends, cheerio!
