back to the grind

Tuesday all ready, Sheldon was off north early and I was up at 8. Today I got back to the painting projects. The morning was spent sanding, scrubbing and more scrubbing of 3 pieces. The plan I had in mind for the old antique dresser changed once this was all done. I wanted to strip and dark stain the top but once I got going the top is veneered and not sure the end result would be worth the tons of work. The piece rand red with old stain so that changed the body plan too. I think I will go with black for it all then bleed thru will not be a problem.

always drawers to fix too
After lunch (which was a super yummy turkey sandwich) and they were dry it was time to paint the square table french blue. I love it, great color.

I love ripe bananas.. banana bread. I took a break to make a few batches, so delicious!
so yummy!!! especially hot out of oven with butter
Work continued on the dresser now dry, more sanding; power and hand after hardware was removed then it was time to start the black paint.
and then more repair work on the mirror portion, a break in a very hard to clamp curvy area was a challenge but I did it.. I hope
just need to prop and balance ;)
Supper was some Miss Vicky's with a side of pie ;)
Of course as the dark sets in just after 7, the truck arrives to pick up the last 10 bales. That truck is crazy, they were in and out in 15 minutes! But at least all are now picked up and out of the field. Tonight was the 2nd night since September 30th, the day of Britt and Bird's accident that she did not get potions applied. They were just to far away when I finally had time. We did get the ambulance bill which I thought Alberta health care covered but nope, seems a ride to town (6 miles) costs $385! On the up side, first time ever required so will gladly pay it.
