Some rain landed in the morning making it very dreary indeed. A fellow had called last night and put an offer on the car and this morning came with his $$. Nice that it is off to a good home but sad to see it go, was a good car. Sheldon then headed to Acadia Valley to do some work there including taking down the tee pee to bring back.
Britt and I had a lazy start but both up as he left about 11:30. She lazed around but then drove to meet Shaina at Chestemere to pick up the very home sick Coco. I distressed the coffee table and gave them a shabby chic finish and brought in to stage before supper.
bright shiny gold to oil rubbed bronze, much better
plain distressed on right and start of colors
Another brief squall of rain dropped as Britt headed to work for 4. When a lady stopped to pick up some cowboy boots and downpour happened after bright sunshine. It did not last long but glad we are getting moisture. They say tomorrow will be a wet one!
I started working on another vanity, this time for my Goddaughter Olivia. Jamie chose one of my favorite antique pieces so cant wait to see it done. Sanding, wood filling, brush washing and sweeping rounded out the work day then it was time for a soak in the tub.
top with usual nail polish etc before its sanding
such well made pieces back then
the vintage handles were spun by children creating the circles in the wood
so filled and sanded
