hiatus over, back to work

Today Sheldon headed back north, he was lucky enough to get he later AC flight so was not rustling around until 4:45 AM. It seems however the roads were crap and airport backed right up but he made it.

So weird how it is dark at 7:45 still, although we are on the longer day train now. I let out the dogs and woke up Britt. Her drive to school was impeded by a HUGE accident at the lights , very scary. There is a thick covering of snow which I assume caused all the morning chaos and this accident too.
The snow continued to lightly fall off and on during the day with -15 temps.

Today I forced myself back to work to. Time to finish sanding and scrubbing Shaina's antique chair ready to paint. While it was drying I started organizing my collage wall as I need to paint many of the frames black as well. This consumed my entire day.

couple pictures of the mirrors put up yesterday.. what ya think?
the 2 back legs on Shaina's chair were damaged so it was a slow process of building them back allowing to dry well in between but they look good as new and ready to go
Originally I went with the safe symmetrical layout but after some convincing by a fellow painter I stepped out of the box and went irregular. This is perfect as it will allow me to continue adding to this collage.
I painted 12 wood frames two coats and sealed them with varnish. Another 4 I had bought, which were either dark brown or black already, got cleaned up and photos added. I am very excited to get this on the wall ASAP.
A couple ladies stopped out for items of the garage sale site and one said there was a suspected homicide in town, WTH!! seems just down from our rental property too.

I was finishing last coat of varnish when Britt got home from work after school till 9. She whipped up her best omelet yet that we shared.
