polox & Happy Fathers Day!

Saturday morning provided another near 2/10ths of rain, however it was fine in the city so eventually after rousting the sleeping beauties we loaded horses and the 3 of us were off to the city for a polox day. I did manage to fit in another coat of wax on the coral dresser before we left too.

The day in the sun was fun, the ponies seemed to have extra spunk, although Bird seemed to be calmer than normal. Think it was her lavender rub down Britt gave her!

We were home by 6, unloaded them changed quick and headed to town to load some free furniture. The girls came along to help and enjoy Opa supper on the run! Once back Shaina napped and was off to camp overnight at Hussar while Britt claiming to study for tests but most likely watched tv and I showered up. I finished waxing the coral dresser and spraying the hardware ready for assembly tomorrow

Happy fathers day to all the men who make our lives complete.

The day was overcast and cool but it was perfect for housecleaning and refinishing. The dresser got assembled and staged, the photo box too and the old window got a couple coats of danish oil and chicken wire added to 2 panes and 2 glass knobs for a special touch. I also started sanding and disassembling a coffee table which I plan to use as first spray project.

Shaina was home by 10 am but spent the rest of the day in bed.. sick.. self induced.. Britt watched more TV than studying for sure. She did however give me a fancy pedicure! Candace arrived around 8 and spent the evening having a great visit with us. There was a rain shower that rolled in later in the evening as well which was nice for the grass.
here is a couple pictures of Shaina, Grama & Papa hitting the golf course when we were gone!
