985 - cold! but score more goods

Day 985 was bloody cold at -23 but it was sunny :-) I worked on wet distressing the rocking chair then started on the storage room. This was one of those procrastination jobs for sure but since Christmas stuff was out and Sheldon fixed the wall why not reorganize vacuum and purge.

Sheldon sorted the mounds of electrical cables and cords we had while watching the gold medal junior hockey game as I cleaned in the storage room. The girls were both slugs but eventually Britt was up getting ready to come to town with us after lunch.

Many stops getting beer, tanning, picking up free towels for the dogs and horses, more ornaments, and scoring some more furniture. You never know when I will run short :-) This put Sheldon in a grump as he was not pleased with the condition but I said that is what I do, give things like that new life. He dropped me at Rona for more supplies while he washed the truck.. and the furniture :-(. A hot tea and some diesel and we were on our way home.
 2 of each
Back home Britt was back reading her school novel and Sheldon and I resumed our sorting chores. Kaylin and Lexi arrived for a visit and supper. Lexi will be staying for just over a week as Kaylin takes a cruise to the Bahamas leaving in the morning!! Yes indeed this child has a privileged life!

After supper she and Shaina went to the city as Shaina will take her to the airport before Sheldon meets her for her wrist ganglion surgery tomorrow morning as well. I went out and spent a couple hours putting the first coat of varathane on the dresser and rocking chair.

Sheldon was inside googling info on his truck, seems a fellow followed us home to say the back end was dog tracking. As I finished up the rocker he changed the truck for Buick inside and began work to repair it. Thanks stranger!I worked on the blog and sorted photos onto my external hard drive for back up before a well earned nap!

forgot to post a photo of what Britt wanted for Christmas
sadly Santa must not have fit it in his sleigh ;-(
