Day 804 was an early start. Britt has 2 polox demos today at the Calgary Stampede. We were up and out the door by 8:30 and met the rest and the horses at Home Depot around 9:30. We jumped in with one of the horse trailers and off to the grounds. The day was very warm at 25 but hotter on the pavement and in the crowd. Shaina had to work today later in afternoon so she harrowed the horse pens and cared for KD cut and rode, or at least that was her list of chores :-)
After the first demo at 11:30 poor Britt was faint so we took her to get a cold drink meeting Sam and Adam at the beer gardens. They headed off tot he rodeo and we wandered the park heading to the round up center to basically get her in air conditioning and looking around. Of course Sheldon scored a fantastic knife sharpener while we perused.

We were thinking of heading home after the 2nd demo at 3:30 but instead stopped for one cold refreshing beer which lead us to stay for the whole night. Sheldon, Sam, Adam and I tried Nashville North as well as another healthy snack. We took in the chucks and grandstand show after Sheldon was approached to buy seats for a screaming deal of $10/each. Britt met up with Brooke and Cassidy and they had a spare ticket for her to join in too.

then off course there were a few tries at their luck on the way out
After the show and many miles walking we all decided to head home. The fellows gave us a ride back to our car and followed us home arriving around 1. We even saw the northern lights on the way home too, a first for the Aussies.
