We took deerfoot down to Glenmore and seeing the destruction
was unreal however it was also amazing to see the quick cleanup too. We arrived
at the field just after 12, tacked up and enjoyed a day in the sun playing
polocrosse.
Miss Scooter enjoys the game
always the need for speed
what a pretty picture of Bird
and ScooterBy 3 we untacked, hosed and loaded them back up to head home. Shaina works at 5 so ran to shower while we fed and put them to pasture. Our mason was here and had finished the pillars, it looks great. I started to mow around tree so we could plant the blue berries and the buffalo junipers. We quickly planted them before a storm chased us inside.
Just as we were pulling out today Britt noticed her phone
missing, as we planned to get there early we said we will just grab it when we
get home. Once home I sent her searching with no luck. I helped her retrace her
day and continued to give her ideas where to search. I too went looking thinking
it had to drop while catching horses but since I did not know where in the field
they were I did a general overview.
After the rain I searched truck, trailer and garage as well a
s front yard while she moaned on the couch. She did get out again and ride
around on horseback looking before returning to the couch. Eventually around 10
she decided to get a big rake to drag the field. I heard her squealing and went
out to find KD had ripped her cheek open on something obviously trying to get
bug relief. Her entire neck was like cottage chees from all the bites.
As I was getting supplies Britt squealed again successfully
finding her phone (rain soaked however). We finally caught KD tried to wash it
up and put wonder dust on it for the night. Sam and Adam got home at 10:30
hitting the sheets and Shaina was finished work at 11.
