Day 715 is becoming a usual paint day; up when Britt heads to school and projects underway. Today I started with glazing the mirror but disaster set in yet again. The claim to fame to Cece paint is the ease of distressing with wet rag however it seems when I glazed over the 2 coats of dry paint the paint wiped off the detail areas when I did not want it to :-( So to correct this I wiped it all off and scrubbed with a toothbrush to get glaze out of the detail areas. I did a test wax area on the other side to see if that helps, if not it might just be a white mirror or I will go back to my old faithful paints.
next in line was to poly the fun blue chair and once dry I had to snap a few photos.
Craig and Asher returned the truck just before noon. Slushy snow and rain started earlier and around 3 a full fledged storm rolled in but soon it too blew over by 4:30. They cancel polox practice which was disappointing as I had a car full of furniture to drop off on the way.
I spent the morning in the garage washing another chair. Lord did I mention that this set came with more jam and gunk than smuckers? Once I washed and rinsed it dried while I repainted the frame
While the storm came down, I spent the afternoon applying the 2nd coat
of reloved island paint, waxed the frame, and sanded up more growth charts. I
had an order for 2 more but am going to try a dual one for her instead.
When Sheldon got home form work he took Diego for a fetch and walk until they lost the ball, removed dog poo then hooked up the rain tanks before coming in to get his candy crush fix.
I was messaging Shaina and she requested a few pet updates.. here is big D as Asher calls him chilling in the workshop with me.
I took a break to make tacos for supper. Britt who went to basement after school joined us then returned to basement, hahahaha. After supper Sheldon went to town to have beer and wings with Gary for an hour or so. I worked on washing down the dresser next in line. It is amazing the color of the water coming off smoke filled homes furniture but finally by 10:30 I came in for a hot shower.
